The main reason we found and rented our apartment here was due to the excellent, over the top service from Casey Baldwin in the leasing office. She answered my email immediately and followed up with every helpful suggestion to make the process as easy as possible to do everything remotely from Oakland. I hadn't had much luck with other locations when I sent emails and called but when I happened upon Casey she made it so easy the lease was signed in no time. And now that we have moved in Danielle and Gustavo have added to the great service we received from Casey by being so helpful when we drop by the leasing office with questions! Great place, great amenities - fantastic gym. We love it here.
Giving Metro a 5 star for amazing customer service, great living experience, friendly neighbors, convenient location close to shopping, great maintenance team, and most importantly wonderful management. Al has helped me in so many ways and I have always felt welcomed and appreciated as a tenant. There has been no issue whether it be a maintenance request or other that has been unresolved in a timely and professional manner. I would highly recommend Metro and specifically working with Al. :)
So let me just start with saying this place has been nothing short of amazing. The managing/leasing office is always so polite and made the application and move in process so seamless. My boyfriend and I love our unit and the amenities are to die for! We have been here for the past 6 months and have had no issues. We’ve only had to do 2 work requests for basic wear and tear/ maintenance and every request was answered swiftly and completed. I also want to touch on the noise complaints I’ve seen in other reviews and I have to say we have not run into that issue, of course the pool area is a spot that is frequented but nothing too crazy or worth complaining that It is something unwordly. We love It here lol
The 2 elevators in the complex are down, 1 has been down for almost a year due to “back order” of parts. That’s definitely not true, the pool is down mid summer, trash rooms constantly stay full of trash. Management never responds to emails or answers the phone, the best thing since I’ve been here for 3 years is the price and maintenance crew. The hallways smell like animal piss. Always some type of water outage or they come in for “leaks” just very weird. Overall very disappointed to live here , but only reason we are still here is because of prices everywhere else are ridiculous. Also so many packages have gotten stolen and management doesn’t care. DO NOT MOVE HERE
Had a great experience touring the property with Al! He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He followed up with me as promised and was not pushy at all! The property was amazing as well. Everything is new and gorgeous!

My husband and I moved to Metro in March when he was stationed in San Diego. We were only there for 3 months. When we moved in, and the apartment looked nothing like the model we were shown. When we were given the form to fill out with any "issues" within the first 48 hours, the manager had already filled in quite a bit on the paper. We then filled out two full pages of issues (pain drips, chipped/cracked molding, cracked counter top, etc). During those 3 months, we continuously found small beads in the carpet, which became very dangerous as we have pets. We also found a dusty, painted sock on the shelf of our closet. We were constantly hearing fire alarms going off from other apartments at least 10 times per day.
When we moved out, we requested a walk through with maintenance but were denied. We tried to contact management (3 emails, voicemails etc) for 3.5 weeks before actually speaking to someone. We were then told we had to pay $230 for cleaning despite mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning countertops, cabinets and even bought magic eraser sponges to clean little marks on the wall the night before we left. We were also charged $79 for carpet cleaning (despite the things we found in the carpet when we moved in and the vacuuming we had done) and $49 for light paint touch up (despite pictures we have from when we moved in. They told us they do not have any pictures to prove these things needed to be done or were done by us despite the pictures we have from when we moved in. I was then told to speak to someone from accounts receivable, so we are waiting for a call back.
As another note, when we received our ledger, we were told we owe $109. They had already kept the rent we were owed from the last week in June and our $500 deposit, but wanted more money.
Had I not called, they never would have realized they made a mistake and actually owed us money.
I am not one to write reviews, but being that we paid rent on time every month and never caused any issues, this is unacceptable.
UPDATE:
It has now been 3 months since we moved out. We finally received 1 check but are still owed hundreds of dollars. I have yet to receive a call or email back from the manager to resolve this issue. The assistant manager emailed me. I responded and CCd the manager. Neither have returned my emails.
We have called the number below more than 5 times and no one has helped resolve this issue.
Update:
I have just gotten in touch with an assistant manager. Remember: we moved out 4 months. Now I am being told that every resident is charged anywhere from $230 to $360 upon move out. This was not in the lease, and no other person I have spoken to has mentioned this. They all said the apartment needed to be cleaned despite the picture we sent.
Great design no flaws except the oven other than that this places is pretty much a resort. Gym has a lot of good quality and new equipment i might even cancel my 24 hrs membership.
I will give this place a five star review. However, a lot of the criticisms in these reviews are true. I love the location I liked my apartment and I like the amenities. But they do need to work on some things. The maintenance crew is sloppy and the staff I would say is on the more disorganized side of the street. Great location though and excellent Apartments.
